Planet Coaster offers player much more creative freedom and physics-based realism that I have had the chance to experience in other theme park simulators. Alas, now that I have had the chance to jump in, I realise that sometimes the leap itself is the hardest part of the problem… The game itself has long looked exciting to me, but fear has held me back. As such, I also know what I like when it comes to these kind of games, which has sometimes caused me to shy away from the new, big and shiny beast that is Frontier’s Planet Coaster. From Bullfrog’s Theme Park itself, through three installments of Roller Coaster Tycoon and a brief flirt with Thrillville, I have been around the proverbial houses more than a couple of times. “If you are even a minor fan of the Ghostbusters franchise, you will feel like you have been slapped in the face with value for money.”īack in the good ol’ days of my relative youth, I thoroughly enjoyed a good theme park sim.
